Here’s What Exactly Happened A case was filed by Nanda Kumar, a businessman who is also a suspect in a separate MLA purchase scandal case. The Daggubati family had leased land to Nanda Kumar, who then began operating a hotel named Deccan Kitchen on the leased property. A dispute soon arose between the Daggubati family and Nanda Kumar over the leased land. In his filed case, Nanda Kumar alleged that the Daggubati family committed theft and unlawfully demolished two properties in Jubilee Hills. According to his claims, the family violated orders from the City Civil Court and Telangana High Court. Nanda accused the Daggubati family of forcibly entering his premises and causing damage with the help of anti-social elements.
The GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) had partially demolished the Deccan Kitchen hotel in 2022. After Nanda Kumar approached the High Court regarding this matter, the court issued an order for maintaining the status quo. However, in January 2024, the Daggubati family completely demolished the hotel. According to reports, the complainant’s property suffered damages amounting to Rs. 20 Crore. Currently, the court has directed the Film Nagar police to conduct a thorough investigation into the case.
